Arlene Goldbard is a writer and consultant based in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has advised hundreds of organizations, funders and policymakers. Her most recent book is New Creative Community: The Art of Cultural Development (New Village Press, November 2006). She also co-authored with Don Adams, Creative Community: The Art of Cultural Development and Community, Culture, and Globalization. Her essays have been published in Art in America; High Performance; Journal of Arts Managment, Law and Society; Theater; Tikkun; and other journals. She speaks widely on issues of culture, politics and spirituality.
