CCACPThe intent of this gathering was to provide an opportunity for the exchange of ideas, information, and best practices among urban cultural planning and development leaders in the transborder region of North America that contains Vancouver, Victoria, Seattle, Tacoma, Olympia, Portland, Salem, and Eugene.

This symposium adopted a think-tank structure and approach. Scheduled speakers and panelists at the conference were all identified as leaders in regional cultural planning and development Additional participants played an active role in discussions in the plenary and panel sessions, as well as in the breakout sessions of the symposium. Graduate student participants in this event engaged in discussions as part of the conference and played an important roe in synthesizing and analyzing the information presented for future publication.
